2010 Summer Cruise - Passage to New England, Landfall

We arrived in Marblehead harbor at 0845 on Tuesday June 8th. I was sad to see the passage come to an end but also excited to enter my hometown area sailing grounds on Devante's Dream.

We docked at Tuckers Wharf town docks and soaked up the moment. It was a beautiful early summer day with the brightest blue sky I and my crew mates Vlad and Bob had ever seen.

Later that day we all helped my sailboat racing friend Peter Engel setup the rig on Goldeneye and ate a lunch at Dolphin Yacht Club looking out over the harbor, again with the bluest sky we'd ever seen. On Wednesday night we all raced on Goldeneye and had a blast taking 2nd out of the 12 boat class.

I'll be writing up the passage notes when I get time, which may be a litle while as I am racing in Boston harbor on Saturday and off Marblehead on Sunday.
